History of the Carnation

Not well known to most, since 1904 the state flower of Ohio is the Carnation. Native Ohioan himself, President William McKinley regularly wore a Carnation Boutonniere on his suit jackets. He felt the significance of this was to bring “good luck.”

Carnation Energy embraces the aspect of history which makes us proud to be an Ohio Business from our roots. Over a century later, the seeds of Carnation Energy LLC were planted to create blossoming Energy Solutions to support and empower the next generation of Ohioans.
